Luca Einaudi is a Senior Research Fellow of the Joint Centre for History and Economics, University of Cambridge and Harvard University. He holds a PhD in economic history from the University of Cambridge, has been an economic advisor to Prime Minister Romano Prodi and was an Italian civil servant involved in G8 and G20 activities in 2008–2009. He is currently writing a history of the G20’s reaction to the financial crisis. He has published Money and politics, European Monetary Unification and the International Gold Standard (1865–1873), (Oxford University Press, 2001) and a history of immigration policies in Italy since unification (Laterza, 2007).
