Johannes F. Linn is the Executive Director of the Wolfensohn Center at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University. He worked in the World Bank as a research and operational economist and manager for 30 years (1973–2003). From 1991 to 1995 he served as Vice President for Financial Policy and Resource Mobilization and from 1996 to 2003 as Vice President for the Europe and Central Asia Region.
