Dr Murat Seker is an Economist in the Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship Practice of the Finance and Private Sector Development Network in the World Bank Group. He joined the Bank in 2008. During his time at the Bank, Murat has produced knowledge products and participated in operational projects on issues related to economic development and growth in developing countries with particular focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. He has produced policy research papers and policy reports on how improvements in business environment, international integration, and innovation contribute to productivity gains, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Minnesota.
