Christopher Adam is Reader in Development Economics at the University of Oxford. He is an Official Fellow of St Cross College and a Research Associate of the Centre for the Study of African Economies. His research focuses on the macroeconomics of low-income economies, principally those of Sub- Saharan Africa. Since 2009 he has been research director for the International Growth Centre (IGC) programme in Tanzania.
