Thomas D. Willett (PhD University of Virginia) serves as Director of the Institute for Economic Policy Studies and is Horton Professor of Economics at Claremont Graduate University and Claremont McKenna College. He has previously served on the faculties at Cornell and Harvard University, and as a senior economist at the Council of Economic Advisors, and Deputy Assistant Secretary and Director of International Research at the US Treasury. He has written widely in areas such as exchange rate policy, inflation, international capital flows and currency and financial crises, the political economy of domestic and international economic policies and international organisation, reform of the international finance architecture, regional integration and the implications of conflicting mental models.
