Shaurya Sharma is presently at Tata Administrative Services, India's premier managerial cadre, as part of the USD 126 billion Tata Conglomerate. He has a diverse business experience spanning across marketing, consulting and finance functions. Driven by a passion for social development, he recently founded a start-up for strengthening the judicial system in developing countries. The venture has received seed funding from Reliance Industries and Government of Gujarat. He has authored a chapter on the holistic management of contingent workers, two papers critiquing the policy regime of the Indian oil sector and a paper delineating the ramifications of a liberal drug regime. His last paper is based on an earlier venture to build an eco-friendly refrigerator, costing USD 1.5, for vaccine storage in the absence of electricity. A travelling enthusiast, he likes to play the guitar and partake in adventure sports.
