Nigel Arnell is a Professor of Geography at the University of Southampton, and the deputy leader of the adaptation research theme within the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. He researches into the implications of climate change for hydrology and water resources, and has been a lead author in the second, third and fourth assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He was involved in the Defra Fast Track research which explored the global-scale implications of climate change.
