Miranda Xafa started her career as an economist at the International Monetary Fund and moved on to senior positions in government and in the financial sector in Athens and London. She served as a member of the Executive Board of the IMF before joining the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) as a senior scholar. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has published several papers and articles on international economic and financial issues.
