Faizel Ismail is Head of the South African Delegation to the World Trade Organization. He has written numerous articles on trade and development, and published a book entitled Mainstreaming Development in the World Trade Organization. He holds an MPhil degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts and LLB degrees from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. He is an associate editor of the Journal of World Trade.
