Arne Bigsten is Professor of Development Economics at Göteborg University and has been a visiting researcher at the universities of Oxford and Nairobi. His research has concerned income distribution, poverty and growth, rural and industrial development, trade and aid, and economic policy, particularly in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Zambia.
