Anthony Elson is an international economist, writer and university lecturer based in the Washington, DC. For a number of years, he was a senior staff member of the IMF. He now teaches at the Duke University Center for International Development and the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. He is the author of Governing Global Finance: The Evolution and Reform of the International Financial Architecture (Palgrave Macmillan 2011) and Globalization and Development: Why East Asia Surged Ahead and Latin America Fell Behind (Palgrave Macmillan 2013).
